East Meet West with Robert Kuo Fabrics

S. Harris – Robert Kuo collection
Referred to as the Imperial craftsman of the 21st Century, Robert Kuo incorporates his Chinese heritage and artistic sensibility to his ever-growing collection of decorative arts, furniture, stone and tile, lighting and now, fabrics.

Kuo draws regularly on diverse influences ranging from the Han and Ming dynasties of China to the Deco and Nouveau periods of the West. He is inspired by both the organic forms of nature and the cultural motifs of man.

Robert Kuo for S. Harris is a reflection of these elements. The collection is based on the lines and textures of his current repoussé, cloisonné, and lacquer pieces beautifully interpreted into fabrics for the home. The patterns are simple, elegant and modern: evoking a feeling of balance, harmony and calm. Natural fibers are used throughout in an earthy, neutral palette encompassing silk, linen, chenille, matelassé, embossed velvet and innovative pleating techniques.

Robert Kuo for S. Harris is classic and timeless; imminently suitable for both traditional and contemporary interiors.

Pictured is pattern Cloisonné in colors Beryl, Dove and Red Clay.
