The DDB's Fall Market Bloggers Lounge will be your one-stop-fix for design and lifestyle. Co-sponsored by GoDesignGo and Editor at Large, the lounge will welcome 15 bloggers who will be covering market events.
Today we want you to meet Julieta Alvarez of DesignIntake. She's also a regular Guest Blogger on GoDesignGo, so you might already be acquainted with her. Read on to learn even more about Julieta.
An interior designer and amateur photographer, Julieta Alvarez started her blog Design Intake in 2010 as a means to record and share her ideas about interior design, photography, fashion, art, architecture and anything else that sparks her curiosity. The blog has become just that and has received tons of recognition in its inaugural year.
"Having the chance to attend and write about all sorts of events for my blog is easy to love!" Julieta said. "From showroom events at the DDB, art gallery openings, networking events, ASID events, and anything that has to do with design, New York City is an amazing place to be for interior design."
Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Julieta has been living in New York for the past 12 years. Although she loves New York, she travels every chance she gets so that she stays sharp on her design intake and is constantly in the know about interior design in other cultures.
When Julieta isn't clicking away on her laptop, taking walks with her dog or playing around with Photoshop, you'll most likely be able to find her at New York City's most important design events.
"My dachshund, Miles (named after Miles Redd), is one of the many things I can't live without," said Julieta. "After that, interior design, my Canon Rebel, good wine and Central Park all come in at a close second."
