Stephanie Odegard is a pioneer in the design world, employing thousands of artisans in South Asia whose lives are enriched through sustainable practices while creating luxurious hand-knotted rugs and handmade furniture pieces using semi-precious materials and centuries-old techniques dating back to the Taj Mahal. She started in the Peace Corps and now promotes peace with leaders of Third World countries by working to develop products and create markets while improving livelihoods through dignified professions for artisans, craftspeople and their families. Please join us as Stephanie tells the fascinating story of how she turned a crusade into an internationally recognized socially responsible business, while sharing highlights of her travels.

Join Terry Hunziker, AD Top 100 Designer and Sutherland furniture designer, during an illustrated presentation on the evolution of his design philosophy.  Terry also introduces his latest work for Sutherland, The Great Lakes Collection.  Great Lakes utilizes aluminum frames and Ecoplex®, a composite material made up of 97% post-consumer recycled plastics.  The Great Lakes Collection is almost entirely maintenance free with exceptional resistance to moisture, fading splintering and other hazards of environmental exposure.

Catherine Croner, Design Director, takes you on a behind-the-scenes look at designing fabrics at the Cowtan & Tout studio in New York City.  Catherine will share what inspires the studio to create the timeless fabrics that adorn our interiors.
