Stephanie Odegard is a pioneer in the design world, employing thousands of artisans in South Asia whose lives are enriched through sustainable practices while creating luxurious hand-knotted rugs and handmade furniture pieces using semi-precious materials and centuries-old techniques dating back to the Taj Mahal. She started in the Peace Corps and now promotes peace with leaders of Third World countries by working to develop products and create markets while improving livelihoods through dignified professions for artisans, craftspeople and their families. Please join us as Stephanie tells the fascinating story of how she turned a crusade into an internationally recognized socially responsible business, while sharing highlights of her travels.
