The fifth-annual Stars of Design Awards at the Design & Decoration Building proved to be an amazing night of industry giants and iconic figures in various design fields.
The who's-who of design showed up to the glimmering at the DDB’s Astra Café cocktail hour that kicked off the spectacular evening. Notable attendees included Paige Rense, Mario Buatta, Peter Marino, Michele Oka Doner, Dara Caponigro, Michael Boodro, Scott Frances, among others.
This year’s Stars of Design included Albert Hadley for Lifetime Achievement; Diller Scofidio + Renfro for Architecture; Jean Michel Othoniel for Art; Paula Scher, Pentagram for Graphic Design; Tucker Viemeister, Rockwell Group for Industrial/Product Design; Matthew Patrick Smyth for Interior Design; James Corner, Field Operations for Landscape Design + Architecture; and Jason Schmidt for Photography.
Established over a decade ago in Los Angeles at Pacific Design Center, the Stars of Design Awards honor professionals who have achieved recognition in various fields of design.
