Product Spotlight: Energized & Inspired Interiors with S. Harris

Texan sisters and noted designers, Susan and Katharine Hable, have teamed up with S. Harris for a whimsical and energetic upholstery collection named Hable Construction after their New York City-based textile company.

Known for its lively range of color, the high-performance collection is their first venture into the hospitality market and adds to S. Harris’ growing diversity of boutique designer programs.

Applying practicality, sophistication and timelessness to their designs, the Hable sisters’ collection follows their hallmark aesthetic of vintage, graphic fabrics, abstracted motifs and colorful, hand-drawn patterns. The brush-stroke effects and deliberate imperfections add personality and an element of fun throughout the collection.

Traditional herringbone design in Akara Falls is refreshed by natural brush strokes and vibrant mix of colors; Aloha is woven to imitate a block print; the slight imperfections give character to its chenille circles; water, waves and surf art are behind Volcano’s chunky, yet soft and luxurious chenille texture.

"Whether it’s Egyptian architecture, a Scandinavian roof top, an antique Bolivian textile or the local flower market, happiness spurs inspiration," said Susan Hable. "Throw in a touch of sparkle and a punch of color – that’s icing on the cake."

Check out the collection at the DDB at Stroheim, PDC and DCH at Fabricut and Jeffrey Michaels & Co. at the DCOTA.
