Spotted at the Four Seasons Miami: Royal Botania

Foodies take note, you now have double the reasons to get to Miami before the end of September. Royal Botania was selected by the talented design firm, and James Beard Award winners, AvroKo for the Edge restaurant terrace at the Four Seasons Miami. The restaurant is a part of the Miami Spice Festival (as if the sizzling city needs any more reasons to get spicy) that celebrates the city's best restaurants with events and special offers.

The design scheme includes Royal Botania IXIT sectionals and table for lounging, some around glowing fires, MIXT teak chairs and Flexy tables for perfect al fresco dining.

A perfect place for a delicious bite, and a breathtaking view of the Biscayne Bay and the hotel's two-acre pool.

If you can't make it to Miami before the end of the month, check out Royal Botania at Giati at the PDC and Inside Out at DCOTA.

Spotted!

We're just back from a whirlwind visit to Sweden. One of the highlights was a one-night stay at the beautiful Kragga Herrgard mansion. Just about any horizontal surface would be inviting after a long flight on a jet-lagged first day, but the salon here was the tops. A highlight: this gorgeous sofa upholstered in Colefax & Fowler's iconic Malabar in coral.

Here's a look at another sitting area, slightly more Swedish!

If Sweden isn't on your itinerary, stop by Cowtan & Tout at the PDC (Suite B647) and DDB (Suite 1022). And to get a sense of the inviting interiors from this boutique hotel group, stop by their one location outside of Sweden: The Maidstone.

Spotted & Seen: Brooke Shields at the DDB

When we stopped by the DDB's Brunschwig & Fils showroom this past Friday, we were thrilled to see actress Brooke Shields shopping for wallpaper for her newly remodeled guest bathroom.

She gave us a few minutes of her time to tell us what she was up to and take a picture with DDB Design Professional Kate Bergeron.

"I'm sourcing for the newly redone guest bathroom in my home," said Brooke. "Everything is done except for the wallpaper and I'm really enjoying shopping for it."

When we asked if she had looked in any other showrooms so far, Brooke told us that she had stopped by Quadrille as well. "They gave me a beautiful bag and were totally helpful!"

"Our guest bathroom is nearly all black and white and it's got this beautiful bathtub in it made by a canoe maker, so we're looking for wallpaper that can be subtle and not take away from the gorgeous tub."

We let Brooke get back to business after hearing more about her bathroom, but not before chatting about the merchandise with Kate and pointing out a few of the patterns she has her eye on, including one full of pineapples.

"Seeing such notables at the DDB is a really cool part of my job," said Kate. "It was especially refreshing to see how involved she was in her decorating process as she's the one who will be seeing it everyday. I really liked that about her!"

We’re keeping our eyes open for star shoppers at the DDB. Stay posted for more ‘Spotted and Seen’ in the DDB.
