Matthew Patrick Smyth, David Rockwell and Antony Todd to designHearst's showhouses

Hearst Magazines has announced this year's designers for its sixth annual Designer Visions showhouse. This year's location will be El Ad Group's 250 West Street in Tribeca, pictured above.

Matthew Patrick Smyth will design the Elle Decor apartment.


Antony Todd will concoct an apartment fit for VerandaEach magazine will feature its apartment, starting with the November issue of House Beautiful, the December issue of Elle Decor and the January/February issue of Veranda.


David Rockwell will use his vision to embody House Beautiful in its unit.


This year's sponsors include Jenn-Air and Benjamin Moore, but you can bet you'll see the designers' teams shopping the DDB. We can't wait to see what they come up with when the showhouse opens on October 30!

Today's Fall Market at Decorative Center Houston is one you won't want to miss. The DCH Market schedule is packed with showroom open houses, product launches and a Keynote hosted by House Beautiful. We've given you a few fab events for the morning, and now we're sharing some afternoon delights for you to pencil in once you've enjoyed lunch from 12:30-2:00 p.m. in Suite 1050.

Stark (Suite 1010) presents An Inside Look at Missoni Home. Join Stark in welcoming Wendy Hubbard, Brand Ambassador of Missoni Home, as she presents a brief history on the iconic brand’s roots. Wendy will discuss the 2011 collection of textiles, the various manufacturing techniques, their uses, and the inspiration from which they came, with starting times at 12:30, 1:00 and 1:30 p.m.

David Sutherland (Suite 170) Perennials and David Sutherland host Color Trends: What's Now, What's Next with David Sutherland and Chief Color Expert at Sensational Color, Kate Smith. Discover the latest color trends and find out what hues will be hot for 2012-2013. Presentations will start every 30 minutes from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
