New Faces: David Michael Interiors Welcomes Roberta Levine (Part 1 of 2)

David Michael Interiors is excited to announce that soft goods specialist and consultant Roberta Levine has joined the company's team. Working from the David Michael Interiors showroom at the DDB in Suite 1700, Roberta will be available to assist and guide you in all your soft goods and hardlines needs. We spent some time with Roberta and got to know the design-savvy specialist, who can turn your fabric ideas into reality.

Roberta graduated from Queens College with a B.A. in textiles. The majority of her experience comes from her years as manager of the Soft Furnishing Division at the four Suffolk County, New York, Ethan Allen Furniture Stores. There, Roberta created and made prosper a Soft Furnishing Department that continues to thrive today. We also learned that Roberta was responsible for every Hunter Douglas shade, custom window treatment, bedding, and re-upholstery that was sold at the company.

In addition to her work at Ethan Allen, Roberta also taught classes to designers in the art of designing and selling window treatments and bedding. She designed store displays and was responsible for special projects, including churches, theaters, restaurants, and catering halls—just to name a few.

Having established Ethan Allen's unprecedented workroom, Roberta continued on with experience in the industry, ranging from the behind-the-scenes work of a company to the design and installation of fabrics and window treatments. Not only does Roberta understand the fabrics, construction, and design that go into custom window treatments; she is also a certified Hunter Douglas installer.

Stay tuned to GoDesignGo tomorrow to learn more about Roberta and her new role at David Michael Interiors.
