In the News: Elle Decor's Modern Life Concept House (Part 2)

Elle Decor's Executive Director of Brand Development Elle Rubin showed us around Elle Decor's Modern Life Concept House, a showhouse designed by the magazine’s top 10 'A-List Designers to Watch' and their brand partners.

"New York, the greatest city in the world, is the ideal backdrop for Elle Decor's first concept house," said Boodro. "We’re delighted to bring together a group of young designers we believe in with some of today’s best brands, to realize our house of the immediate future."

"Overseeing this Modern Life Concept House was really phenomenal," said Ellen. "To see every piece and every product and every room come together from blue prints and sketches to the finished product has been very exciting and unbelievable to watch."

We strolled through the two apartments, and soaked in the forward-thinking designs.

Kravet, Stark Carpet, Poggenpohl, Scalamandre and Schumacher were just a few of the companies we spotted throughout the Showhouse.

Oliver Furth, who designed the shelving units with USM Modular Furniture for his modern home office, had the luxury of a room wrapped in city-scape on two walls and stepped out into the summery patio.

"It was really neat to watch the progression and interaction between all of the designers," said Ellen. "Some of them did fantastic collaborations together and meshed designs and ideas to make parts of rooms together. Others came in knowing exactly what they were doing and put their plan to action. Their work just blossomed in these apartments over the months!"

Stay tuned to GoDesignGo for Elle Decor's next concept showhouse-we'll be there to walk you through the next group of designers' dazzling designs.
