Interior Design Magazine Names Paige Rense 'Design Icon'

Interior Design's 26th annual Hall of Fame gala, taking place tonight, introduces a new award this year, the Design Icon. The inaugural award will honor former editor of Architectural Digest and 1985 Hall of Fame inductee Paige Rense.

Paige Rense served as editor in chief of Architectural Digest from 1975 until 2010. She took the magazine from a circulation of 50,000 to 850,000 with a total audience of 5.4 million readers. Paige was initially inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame in 1985.

Recipients of the Hall of Fame inductees include Shigeru Ban of Shigeru Ban Architects; Neil Denari of Neil M. Denari Architects; and designer Karim Rashid.

This year’s event is sponsored by Kohler Interiors Group and Axor, and inductees will be honored tonight at New York’s Waldorf-Astoria Hotel.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Council for Interior Design Accreditation, as well as The Alpha Workshops.

  1. Interior decorating magazines are a great resource for getting new and fresh ideas on how to decorate your home. I could literally spend hours looking at a great home decor magazine.
