La Vie en Rose

Donghia introduces their Fall 2010 Textile Collection, La Vie en Rose. Featuring textiles of earthy tones and warm winter pastels and burly textures and dainty, delicate prints-- this collection illustrates a "life in rosey hues." Pink, a color epitomizing optimism, is represented in this collection's buoyant, playful patterns; bold colors enhancing soft solids and an array of plush textures. Ashlar, shown above in coral, is among the assimilation of indoor and outdoor textiles (six of the fifteen new patterns, including Ashlar, are sufficient for use indoors and out). The term Ashlar is actually used to describe the pattern created by paving stones; this fabric is a transformation of the organic shapes of the stones, similar to those seen in the streets of Paris. La Vie en Rose is la bonne vie.
