At The D and D Building: A Tour and lunch with Christopher Hyland for Charity

Last week, Christopher Hyland hosted women who had won a Knights and Dames of Malta auction, leading them on a tour and lunch at the building's famed Astra Cafe. Cece Donahue, a Dame of Malta, purchased a tour of the D and D Building and lunch, giving $5500 to the charity. She invited 11 Dames of Malta to come as her guests to tour showrooms including John Rosselli, William Switzer, Holly Hunt, Rogers and Goffigon and Romo led by Mr. Hyland.  They also enjoyed viewing the Hyland collections of contemporary fabrics and textures. The group gathered for lunch at Astra's Private Dining Room, and the "service, good and wine were excellent--a good time was had by al,l" said Hyland. Known for his sumptuous array of globally-sourced fabrics, Hyland also designs ties.  The women in attendance wrote checks to the charity in exchange for ties, their father's day gift of choice.  This kicks off the first of three visits led by him benefiting Malta House, a foundation supporting expectant mothers with health care and services.
