Soothing Yet Subtle

When interior designer John Saladino uses color, his mastery lies in his ability to use it in a transporting way. Subtle and ethereal, Carolyn Ray's Strata fabric is ombre, and the color variations come from dying and dipping each piece.  Here, Saladino uses it for window treatments that add a dramatic flair to the windows of a residential apartment building in New York City. Ray's collection of art textiles and wallcoverings with a handmade touch are available through Brunschwig & Fils.
