Fast-forward your career at the ASID's 2012 Student Career Day at the PDC. The day will include showroom tours, showroom open houses, and seminars on design careers with guest speakers. Here's a look at the schedule. For more information, email asidoffice@asidla.org.
Registration and a continental breakfast in the Blue Conference Center from 9:30 to 10 a.m. will kick the morning off, followed by welcome introductions with Jenny Seong of the PDC; Pam Meyer, ASID LA President; and Jeanette Chasworth, ASID Pasadena President, until 10:30 a.m.
Showroom tours and guest speaker seminars take place throughout the PDC from 10:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Duralee/Highland Court, Suite B601, presents Ernie Roth, allied ASID member, for a talk on Career Direction in Set Design. Century Furniture, Suite B425, hosts Allison Pollack, allied ASID member, for a discussion on Your Career on the Green Path. Stark Carpet, Suite B629, presents Deborah Davis, ASID member, on Taking a Step Forward in Your Career.
A lunch and keynote speech will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Blue Conference Center with allied ASID member Bridgid Coulter, followed by computer demonstrations from 2 to 4 p.m.
From 4 to 5 p.m., showrooms tours will be given at Thomas Lavin, Suite B310, and at Baker, Knapp & Tubbs, Suite B525.
Student Career Day takes place this Friday, February 24, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the PDC.
