Product Pick: Porsche Picks up Speed at Poggenpohl

The Poggenpohl showroom at the Pacific Design Center (PDC) is one of our many favorite first floor destinations in the Blue Building—and its newest collection has our minds racing with inspiration.

A new front room has been given to the classiest of all Poggenpohl kitchens, the Porsche Design P’7340. Familiar from motor racing, the ultra-light yet extremely strong and temperature-resistant carbon fiber composite is widely used today in aerospace but also increasingly used in automotive engineering.

"We're seeing a lot of interest in our Porsche Design kitchen," said a sales associate. "It's fun and the husbands are super interested in the sleek shape of the design and what it's made out of. Watching designers and their clients come in and see it for the first time is like watching them fall in love with a new car at a dealer!"

For the carbon fiber front of its Porsche Design kitchen, the material is laminated and applied to a glass front. This additionally underscores the carbon fiber’s three-dimensional appearance. With its engineered look, the P’7340‘s handle-less design and combination of aluminum and glass materials with an industrial feel provide even more exclusivity.

Stop by the Poggenpohl showroom at the PDC to take the Porsche Design kitchen for a spin.
