The ever trendsetting Edward Ferrell + Lewis Mittman (EF+LM) has taken a cue from the fashion industry. This summer, EF+LM has launched the first of many Capsule Collections designed by prominent interior designers.
“The term Capsule Collection comes from the fashion industry where famous designers do ‘guest appearances’ with other brands,” said Jobi Blachy, president of EF+LM. “Selected designers will all be doing guest appearances with EF+LM through their furniture design.”
In searching for a creative way to introduce new furniture into the company’s existing line Blachy wanted to capture the creative talent of top clients. He specifically wanted clients who challenged the company’s workroom with custom product. In a nod to the fashion industry, Blachy decided that the concept of a capsule collection would be a perfect fit.
There will be one or two Capsule collections each year, in addition to in-house designed introductions, like the glamorous new in-house designed collection that will grace showroom floors this summer.
Stay tuned for more about EF+LM's Capsule Collection to find out who the first designer with a Capsule Collection is.
