Agostino Turns Up the Heat
Cher, Madonna, Shakira, who needs a surname anyway? Not Agostino, which recently abandoned the "Antiques" part of its name when it welcomed a handsome selection of textiles into the mix this summer. Wovens, silks, sheers, natural and bamboo fibers and, wait for it—recycled leathers—now hang in the DDB showroom. Rita Lyons, who oversees the section, pointed out lustrous cotton and silk numbers from Browning & Chandler before revealing what might be the bargain of the season: viscose-cotton $44/yard faux cashmere that's so sumptuous it makes us think the unthinkable: bring on the snow!
