Guest Blogger: Harry Daniell Loves Hellman Chang (Part 2)

Yesterday, Harry Daniell, of Harry Daniell Design, let us in on his afternoon at the A. Rudin showroom to share what he loved about vendor, Hellman Chang. Here's more on Harry's happenings at A. Rudin.

By Harry Daniell

The legs, with a coved beveling, juxtapose the straight edges of the top and front of the desk making the piece extremely interesting and perfectly able to hold its own with its flawless design. Personally, I envision it floating in a room, as opposed to “pushed” into a corner, allowing it to serve as a statement piece in many a setting.

What makes this desk even more magical, especially in the technological age that we live in, is the ability to add a pullout keyboard tray to one of the drawers as well as top grommets for wire management. How great to be able to put the laptop away when not in use, allowing the desk to stand in its natural beauty without the clutter of needless elements (i.e., laptops!)?

As expected with any Hellman Chang piece, all angles are considered during the design process. With hidden pulls, the front of the desk neatly hides the drawers in the front, not taking away from the clean aesthetic that the Crawford desk offers. The desk is yet another creation beautifully done by the fabulous boys at Hellman Chang!
