Fall Market Buzz: PDC CEU Courses (Part 1 of 2)

The PDC's semi-annual Fall Market 2011 is just a day away and our last bit of buzz before the big day will give you the chance to get any CEU credits you're still looking for. This year's theme, The Collaborative Community, offers a few CEU courses you won't want to miss.

Century Furniture (Suite B425) presents Furniture Design Embellishments, a journey of outstanding techniques that can be applied to high-end wood furniture. Led by Eric Graham [Senior Manager Wood Products Merchandising/Century Leisure], participants will be guided through construction, physical and finish distressing procedures. Several unique and invaluable design embellishments will be demonstrated including gold and silver leafing, dry brush, and hand applied wax. Eric is responsible for the vision and leadership of the fastest growing and most profitable segments of the Century Furniture portfolio. He is a knowledgeable and entertaining speaker, fluent in the lexicon of retailing, product development and marketing to the luxury segment and an authority on adaptation and application of new technology in furniture design. The course runs from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Poggenpohl (Suite B188) hosts Energy Efficiency with Miele, a CEU seminar by their appliance partner, Miele. The presentation explores the three standards for energy efficiency in dishwashers and washing machines and how to evaluate the determining criteria. Representatives from Miele will also answer questions and review new product introductions for 2011-12. The course runs from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Stay tuned to GoDesignGo for a few more CEU courses you can find at the PDC tomorrow.
