Kevin Corn: A True American Designer

Design council member, LA Based interior designer Kevin Corn's work embodies the casual lifestyle of California. A truly American sensibility and comfort first prevail in his theory that interiors should meet  client's "desires and memories of how a home should feel." His crisp nautical feel comes from years of being with Ralph Lauren's creative services and store design.

What does every living room need?

Great lighting-either natural or lamps etc.  No matter what the style or function of a living room, if the client doesn't look good in it-the room won't look good!

How is your favorite aspect of working in California?

The availability of almost everything I need as well as a design and artistic community that is supportive of one another.

What style is inspiring you most now?

Natural, neutral, value and drama are the words that have been used in the office lately-as far as a look-think Michael Taylor in Lake Tahoe circa 1979-1982.

Let us know, what are your favorite showrooms in the PDC?

A. Rudin, Holly Hunt, Kravet-Lee Jofa-j'dore!!

What is your favorite color combination at the moment?

Stone-gray with olive leaf green and bleached driftwood tan.  Take a second to imaging all of these in you mind-cool-sexy-and classic
