DCOTA's Designhouse: A Lobby and Hallway

ALEX MATAMOROS of DCOTA Design Services, Inc. designed the

Reception Lobby + Hallway at the Designhouse.

“The South Florida Ocean and sky inspired me to create a sophisticated lobby like you would see at a resort or in a penthouse. I kept the background neutral, coordinating the sand tone on the walls with the oatmeal colored sofa and off white chairs keeping it organic. To accent the color palette I selected a fabric that has sea blue, platinum and cocoa. The Wenge wood console with polished metallic hardware gives the room a stylish look bringing it all together.

In the hallway, I decided to showcase art in a gallery style display, including all the colors that all of the other designers used throughout the house.”
