Ottomania!

Recently, here has been a resurgence of all things Ottoman. Inspired by a stylized flower and natural elements, the Ottoman patterns are rich and decorative, and have influenced everything from fabrics to tabletop.  Michaelian and Kohlberg has incorporated a circular motif in their Ottoman carpet, adding a rich purple ground and contrasting pink accent color.  The circular aspect makes this historical reference modern and dynamic.  They have been creating handmade carpets  in Nepal, India and China since 1921.
