Layer It On

Maharam, the forward- thinking fabric company has collaborated with some contemporary design greats. The latest follow- up collab is with Dutch star Hella Jongerius. Her Layers fabric in Garden, pictured, has  embroidered felt and needlework that portrays  leaves and natural motifs .  Jongerius's work often explores mixed media with old and new techniques, such as applique and knitting.  Layers has been accepted into the collection of the Museum of Modern Art and the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum in New York City, making it an instant modern design classic.
