Where in the PDC?

Think you can guess which PDC showroom we snapped these two photographs in? Leave us a comment with your guess to show us how well you know the PDC. The answer will be in next week's Where in the PDC? post.

Hint: This Company began around 1901 with a regatta of hardwood logs floating down the rivers and lakes of western Michigan. They allowed a Dutch immigrant craftsman to become the cabinetmaker of the New World.

Fresh Designs from Allan Switzer

Design Director Allan Switzer gave us a sneak peek of two of his newest designs for William Switzer.

The 1801 Tree Root Console Table is meticulously hand carved from FSC certified pinewood. He paired the base with a Chartreuse Green lacquer top for contrast. It’s is available in any pinewood or driftwood finish and a variety of lacquer tops.

“Being an original design of mine, I referenced 19th Century French Root furniture with a contemporary twist. The design reflects a quirky sensibility in that it almost has an anthropomorphic feel with the legs seemingly marching in opposite directions towards themselves," said Allan.

The "Savoy" occasional chair is constructed out of FSC certified Mukaly and is a riff on a mid-century French moderne style lounge chair, available with either Brass or Nickel sabots.

"The vertically channeled inner back upholstery really adds a level of aesthetic luxury and true comfort," he said.

Be sure to check out William Switzer's redesigned website and see what other new products have come out.
