Photographs of Cesar Pelli’s Process on Display at PDC’s RedGallery

Cesar Pelli is on target to complete Center Red, the third and final Pacific Design Center building, next Fall 2011. He completed the Blue Building in 1975, and the Green Building in 1988.

What we didn’t know was that since construction began a year ago, photographer Kenneth Johansson has been documenting the construction process. We also learned that this collection will be housed in the “RedGallery,” which will be located on second floor of the new building.

"To open up a gallery and display the material seemed to be a natural progression after shooting hundreds and hundreds of images,” said Kenneth Johansson. The RedGallery website will display photography from the construction site, and will feature new material on a bi-weekly basis.
