It is the unmistakable WOW factor that hits you upon first entering the Evanson Showroom. What is striking is not only the sleek lines and attention to craft, but the diversity of work in both natural and faux finishes such as exotic woods, goatskin, antique gold leaf, rice paper, bone, grasscloth—the combinations seem endless.
The collaboration between husband and wife architects Lisa and James Evanson consistently leads to a thoughtfully and creatively executed result. The Evansons begin by analyzing the functional requirements, then they create detailed artful drawings, and finally select the appropriate materials and finish.
“Many times a designer will bring a floorplan or a diagram of the project requirements; ideas and samples are tossed around, and the collaborative freefall begins. Later this potpourri of ideas will crystallize and the Evanson magic begins," Lisa told us.
Above is their newest piece, the Janette Table.
