Larsen's latest collection might capture the spirit of the Art Deco movement, but the names for each design is Japanese, paying tribute to the terrible 2011 earthquake that struck Japan while the design team was finalizing the assortment. Graphic designs, in crisp linen and complex applique velvet, make this one of the most overtly luxurious collections yet. A restrained color palette typical of Larsen lets the designs and textures command all the attention, whether as a botanical print like Kobo with mother of pearl printed on velvet (pictured above), or the silk damask Hanaki. Katsu, pictured below, is a reversible woven that fools the eye - it's so crisp it looks printed.
