Save the Date: Creating Integrated Sensory Design in the Home

Imagine the possibilities if sight, sound, touch and smell were equally integrated into interior design.

If you have a client who is caring for a parent or spouse with Alzheimer's, or raising a child or loved one with Autism, MS or other disabling diseases, or is just wanting to age comfortably where they are, creating integrated sensory design in the home can be a solution to the many challenges that can come along with extra care.

We all know about typical barrier free solutions but with new evidence based design studies, there are a myriad of ways to help your client with creative and motivating interiors that stimulate the senses. From lovely, therapeutic and healing gardens, to sensory walls, and the integration of music, Diane Alexander will discuss how design can help with independence.

A reception will follow from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. at John Brooks in Suite 2001.

The event takes place June 16 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the DCH's Seminar Room in Suite 6004. 0.1 CEU credits available. For more information, please call 713-961-9292 x1312.
