Collins + DuPont Interior Design Guest Bedroom for Designhouse

Kim Collins + Sherron DuPont of

Decorated The Guest  Bedroom

She shared, “We used South Florida's long love affair with "Glam-Deco", blended with Natural Tropical Rain Forest, as inspiration for the design of our room. We feel that bedrooms should be romantic AND fantastic. The windows were draped in a tented fashion to invoke the illusion of sleeping out of doors. The bed wall is paneled in natural woven bamboo fabric while the bed and nightstand are veneered in rare exotic woods.

Our color palette was inspired by the rich cool colors of the tropical print on the bed pillows. Both the pillows and the draperies are woven with gold lame, reminding one that a little glitz can brighten the darkest night.”
